2010 - Year of the Tiger or the Frugal?
I'm sure many business owners would agree that 2009 was a weird year. The normal trends didn't apply and if you were in retail in metropolitan areas, it was not one of your favourite years. In 2009 consumers and businesses alike became frugal. It felt good cutting back. The big question for 2010 is will this frugality continue? It will probably take a couple of years to unwind the effects of 2009. The best way forward for businesses is to communicate their value proposition at all times. That is how do you save people time, reduce their pain, save them money or make them money? If you can answer these questions clearly then 2010 will indeed be year of the Tiger!
